BRIEF: The Clippers' trust issues appear to be gone

Nov. 21--The "T" word is an awfully heavy word.

Or is it.

When a relationship has trust issues, it's in trouble. But when a team has trust issues, it's apparently an ephemeral notion.

After Clippers Coach Doc Rivers said that the team was struggling with trust following Monday's loss to the Chicago Bulls, the Clippers have had two impressive wins on the road against the Orlando Magic and the Miami Heat, sharing the ball beautifully in both games.

In the team's 114-90 win over Orlando on Wednesday, the Clippers had 24 assists on 45 field goals. In Thursday's 110-93 win over Miami, the Clippers finished with 31 assists on 43 field goals.

So much for the saying that trust is the hardest thing to gain back. In less than a week, Rivers believes that his team did it.

"They trusted the pass, they trusted the offense, they trusted each other and it works and they know it," Rivers said Thursday evening.

That night, the Heat had only 11 assists. Don't be surprised if Erik Spoelstra uses the "T" word next.
