BRIEF: 2 teen boys suspected in Logan Square armed robberies of cellphones

Oct. 03--Police are on the lookout for two teenage boys suspected in three armed robberies in Logan Square since late September.

In each instance, the teen boys approached people on the street, displayed a pistol and stole cellphones, according to a news release from Chicago police.

The boys both are described as 14-year-old black males, 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-7 and weighing between 100 and 145 pounds. At the time of the robberies, one had braided hair and wore brown denim or a gray hoodie with blue jeans. The other teen, who has a light to medium complexion, wore a gray or black hoodie.

The robberies occurred on:

--Sept. 24 at 8:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of North Drake Avenue

--Sept. 26 at 2:25 p.m. in the 3400 block of West Palmer Street

--Oct. 1 at 8:15 p.m. in the 3300 block of West Palmer Street
