BRIEF: Teen went missing 2 weeks ago from Lawndale neighborhood

Sept. 13--Police are asking for the public's help finding a 16-year-old boy who went missing about two weeks ago on the West Side in the Lawndale neighborhood.

Trevon "Tre" Grant was last seen Aug. 29 on the 1400 block of South Kolin Avenue. He was wearing a black t-shirt, black pants and black boots, police said.

He is described as a black boy with a medium complexion, black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 137 pounds.

Police said Trevon is known to frequent Vincennes Avenue from 103rd to 111th Street. He also frequents the East Chicago area in Indiana.

Anyone with information about Trevon's whereabouts should contact the Chicago Police Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
