Nov. 28--A 15-year-old boy was shot dead in Gary early Saturday morning, Gary police said.
At about 12:10 a.m., officers found the boy with a gunshot wound to the back in the 3900 block of West 21st Avenue, according to a news release. The boy was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Lake County Coroner's office identified the boy as Tiyrek Foxx of the 800 block of King Street in Gary.
No information was immediately available about the circumstances of the shooting.
