BRIEF: Taylor Kinney: Lady Gaga has 'open invitation' to be on 'Chicago Fire'

Feb. 09--Taylor Kinney said his fiancee Lady Gaga has an "open invitation" to appear on his show "Chicago Fire."

Kinney told People magazine he is supportive of Lady Gaga's budding acting career and is proud of her rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner" Sunday at the Super Bowl.

"To be on that stage in front of as many people that were watching and to represent not only the song but the country was a pretty big deal. I thought that she really took the bull by the horns and did a great job," Kinney said.

The couple got engaged a year ago and Kinney said they are still going back and forth on their wedding plans. He downplayed a rumor that they are getting married in Italy.

"I heard that I was getting married in Italy. I want to know if I can go. Do I get to come to this thing? It sounds like an amazing party. I want to go," said Kinney, who plays Lt. Kelly Severide.

"Chicago Fire," which films in the city, airs 9 p.m. Tuesdays on NBC.

Lady Gaga, who recently starred on "American Horror Story: Hotel," is slated to perform a tribute to David Bowie Monday at the Grammy Awards, which are scheduled to air on CBS beginning at 7 p.m.
