BRIEF: Target to close 13 stores, including one in Victorville

Nov. 04--Target Corp. will close 13 stores nationwide, including one in Victorville, Calif., at the end of January.

In an email, Target spokeswoman Molly Snyder said the decision to close the stores "is not made lightly." She said the company typically closes locations after seeing several years of decreasing profitability.

Snyder said all eligible Target store employees affected by the shutdowns will be offered the option to transfer to another store.
