BRIEF: Suspicious fire investigated in Logan Square

Sept. 18--Shots were fired at a house in Logan Square and it may have been set on fire early Friday, authorities said.

At about 1:45 a.m., police responded to a call of shots fired in the 1800 block of North Fairfield Avenue. When they arrived, they found a basement window of a house was on fire, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

Bullet holes were also found in the front windows, said Chicago Fire Department Cmdr. Curtis Hudson.

Fire Department investigators and the Chicago police arson unit are investigating the blaze, which is being considered suspicious.

Nobody was injured, and Hudson did not have information on the extent of the damage.
