BRIEF: Suspect in 11-month-old's death arrested after starting fire

Nov. 19--A suspect is in custody after an 11-month-old was found dead in an apartment building in Kenosha, authorities said.

Just before 7 p.m. Tuesday, police were dispatched to a three-unit building near 50th Street and 21st Avenue in Kenosha on a domestic call, according to Kenosha police.

Officers found an injured child, 11 months, in the home, police said. While they were in the building, a suspect started a fire in the basement apartment, police said. The smoke eventually forced the suspect outside and he was arrested, police said.

The child died of the injuries, police said. No other details were available, but police said they were conducting a homicide investigation.
