Dec. 01--Police have identified a suspect in the killing of a 41-year-old man found inside a refrigerator in South Los Angeles last month, authorities said.
Los Angeles police Det. Chris Barling said the 57-year-old suspect is already in custody on an unrelated charge. He declined to identify the man pending further investigation.
Felix Potter was found Nov. 10 inside a refrigerator in the 600 block of West 57th Street in Vermont-Slauson. Two workers cleaning out the apartment found Potter, who was in the process of being evicted from the home where he lived for about two years, Barling said.
He declined to say how long the body had been in the refrigerator. Potter died of strangulation, Barling said, adding that Potter and the suspect "knew each other."
