BRIEF: Suspect barricaded in Pacific Palisades home after crashing car, firing on police turns himself in

April 11--An armed pursuit suspect who barricaded himself inside a Pacific Palisades home early Monday has turned himself in, authorities said.

The man hid inside a Pacific Palisades home for several hours after leading police on a pursuit on Pacific Coast Highway around 1:45 a.m. The chase ended at Earlham Street and Radcliffe Avenue when the suspect crashed a stolen vehicle into a parked car, police said.

The suspect then fired shots at officers and fled the scene, eventually breaking into a home in the 400 block of North Lombard Avenue and barricading himself in the garage, according to police.

Police did not return fire, LAPD Officer Norma Eisenman said.

The family inside the home -- including three adults and a baby, according to ABC 7 -- was evacuated by police.
