BRIEF: Suspect arrested after shots fired at police in Gresham

March 26--A suspect was in custody after someone fired shots at police late Friday in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.

The shooting happened around 10:13 p.m. in the 8200 block of South Laflin Street, said Officer Ron Gaines, a Chicago police spokesman.

No one was hurt during the incident, and a suspect was taken into custody as a result of the shooting, Gaines said. Charges were pending against the person early Saturday.

No other information was available about the incident.
