Feb. 08--Hall of Fame coach Marv Levy, who led the Buffalo Bills to four straight Super Bowl appearances, on Tuesday will present an NFL golden football to his alma mater, South Shore High School.
The winningest coach in Buffalo Bills history (112-70), Levy was a standout student/athlete at South Shore in the early '40s.
Levy, who lettered in football, basketball and track at Coe College in Iowa and earned a master's degree in English history from Harvard, was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001.
Tuesday's event, from 9-10 a.m., at South Shore is part of the league's Super Bowl High School Honor Roll in which nearly 3,000 players and coaches who have competed in the title game give back to the schools where they got their start.
