BRIEF: Sunday's recap: White Sox 5, Angels 3

March 16--The summary

The White Sox swept their two-game road-and-home series against the Angels, picking up a 5-3 victory Sunday behind strong relief pitching and a 10-hit attack.

At the plate

Designated hitter Rob Brantly hit his first spring home run. Alexei Ramirez drove in his team-leading eighth run.

On the mound

John Danks served up a two-run homer in the first before settling down, allowing three runs on six hits over 32/3 innings. Daniel Webb struck out three in one inning and Zach Putnam struck out the side to notch the save.

In the field

Adam Eaton made a nice running catch in the first and threw a baserunner out at third in the second.

Crain watch

Rehabbing reliever Jesse Crain threw another live batting practice session and said he feels close to being ready for game action.
