BRIEF: Sunday's recap: White Sox 13, Giants 9

March 28--Todd Frazier and Avisail Garcia hit late homers to lift the White Sox to a 13-9 victory over the Giants on Sunday at Scottsdale Stadium. Travis Ishikawa also homered and was 3-for-5 with five RBIs.

At the plate

Ishikawa, who hit a three-run walk-off homer to clinch the 2014 National League Championship Series for the Giants, was a single short of the cycle against his former team.

On the mound

Scott Carroll earned the victory in relief of Mat Latos after allowing two earned runs on four hits over four innings.

In the field

Jimmy Rollins' wild throw to first base put runners on second and third with two outs in the fourth.

Key number

16 -- RBIs by Garcia this spring, including two Sunday.

The quote

"I landed wrong, slipped. I ended up over this way, the ball ended up on the other side. I'm not trying to start anything. I'm not trying to hit anybody during spring training. It's the last thing I want to do ... is put someone on the DL to start the season." -- Latos on upsetting Hunter Pence by hitting him on the arm with a pitch

Up next

At Rockies, 3:10 p.m. Monday at Salt River Fields. LH John Danks vs. RH Jordan Lyles.
