Jan. 04--A ridiculous individual effort from Jimmy Butler powered the Bulls to their fourth straight victory, 115-113 over the Raptors Sunday afternoon at Air Canada Centre. Butler broke Michael Jordan's franchise record by scoring 40 of his 42 points in the second half, including the go-ahead 3-pointer with 30.6 seconds left.
Turning point: Butler's second half. He carried the Bulls after needing a stitch to fix a gash in his lip in the first half.
Tribune player of game: Butler. He did it all.
Key number: 21. Butler matched his uniform number with 21 points on just nine shots in the third quarter alone. The offensive explosion fell nine points of Michael Jordan's franchise record for points in a quarter.
Injury update: Derrick Rose missed his third straight game with right hamstring tendinitis. He is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday since mild pain has spread to his surgically repaired right knee.
Streaking: Butler recorded a steal for the 40th straight game.
