April 10--Weather officials are expecting a breezy and wet Sunday in the Chicago area with high temperatures to reach at least 47 degrees.
According to the National Weather Service, there is an 80 percent chance of precipitation starting with rain in the morning and early afternoon hours, then changing to showers after 1 p.m., officials said.
Southwest winds are expected to blow in at 15 to 20 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph.
The workweek forecast is expected to start off Monday with sunny conditions and a high near 49, with temperatures dropping in the night hours to about 30 degrees.
Sunny conditions are expected to stay around for the rest of the week, with temperatures gradually rising from a high of 44 degrees on Tuesday to a high near 63 on Saturday.
