May 09--A man threatening to jump from an elevated connection of the 91 and 57 freeways in Orange County brought traffic to a grinding halt in Anaheim on Monday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The man climbed onto the ledge of the eastbound 91 Freeway about 8:30 a.m. and threatened to jump onto the northbound 57 Freeway below, said CHP Officer Denise Quesada.
The man's threats forced the closure of the eastbound and westbound transitions from the 91 to the 57 and all traffic on the northbound 57, Quesada said. Southbound traffic remained open.
About 11 a.m., authorities took the man into custody, according to CHP logs. All lanes of the freeways were reopened about 11:15 a.m.
