BRIEF: Submissions being accepted for Chicago Women's Funny Festival

Feb. 12--Are you a funny woman in Chicago looking to showcase your comedy chops?

Submissions are now being accepted for the 5th Annual Chicago Women's Funny Festival, Stage 773 announced Friday.

The wide-ranging celebration of the Windy City's women in comedy features stand up, sketch, improv, musical performances and more. This year's event will include over 500 performers during the 4-day festival.

Applications will be accepted through April 15 at chicagowomensfunnyfestival.com.

The festival will take place June 16 -- 19 at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave.
