BRIEF: Steep Theatre names new ensemble members

Oct. 12--Steep Theatre has named Ashleigh LaThrop and Joel Reitsma as its newest ensemble members.

LaThrop was recently seen in Chicago in "Balm in Gilead" at Griffin Theatre and appears as Gabby on USA's "Sirens." Reitsma was recently seen in Steppenwolf's "Airline Highway."

Both actors received non-Equity Jeff Award nominations for their performances in Steep's 2013 production of "Motortown."

Steep Theatre, now in its 15th year of creating ensemble-focused work, recently opened its season with "The Cheats." The tale of neighbor surveillance gone awry plays through Nov. 7 at Steep Theatre, 1115 W. Berwyn Ave.
