March 13--An Illinois state trooper was hurt and another person was injured during a crash early Wednesday on the Dan Ryan Expressway on the South Side.
A state trooper just pulled up to help out another state trooper on a traffic stop in the outbound lanes of Interstate 90/94 near 83rd Street when a vehicle rear-ended the trooper's car shortly after 1:15 a.m., according to Illinois State Police.
The state trooper suffered minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital. The driver of the vehicle that hit the trooper's car was also injured and was taken to another hospital for treatment. The driver's condition was not immediately known, according to state police.
No other information about the crash was immediately available.
