May 22--SAN DIEGO -- The Chicago Cubs have managed to split their past four games despite going hitless in their past 23 at-bats with runners in scoring position.
They're also keeping Starlin Castro in the cleanup spot Thursday night as they try to win the third and deciding game of their three-game series against San Diego at Petco Park.
Castro's batting average with runners in scoring position has dipped since May 1 from .345 to .275.
