BRIEF: Spurs' Tony Parker, Tiago Splitter healthy enough to play in Game 2

April 21--The San Antonio Spurs didn't seem to have any concerns about the injuries to point guard Tony Parker and center Tiago Splitter, saying both will play in Game 2 of the Western Conference first-round playoff series against the Clippers on Wednesday night at Staples Center.

Parker suffered a twisted left ankle and bruised left thigh in Game 1. He practiced Tuesday with the Spurs at Santa Monica High.

Splitter, who has been dealing with a right calf injury, also practiced.

"Tony is fine," Spurs Coach Gregg Popovich said.

Splitter started and played just 10 minutes in Game 1, five in the first quarter and five more in the third.

He had missed the final six regular-season games with the calf injury.

But the Spurs say Splitter is healthy enough to play.

"He didn't go backwards, so that's a good thing," Popovich said. "Maybe he can play a few more minutes (Wednesday) night, I'm hoping."

The Spurs trail the best-of-seven series 0-1 but are seeking to get a split in Los Angeles before heading home to San Antonio for Games 3 and 4.
