BRIEF: Special ed teacher arrested for allegedly having sex with 14-year-old

Nov. 14--A 35-year-old Parks Junior High teacher in Fullerton has been arrested on suspicion of having a sex with with a 14-year-old boy.

Shauna Sims, a special education teacher, was taken into custody about 11 a.m. Thursday at the high school in the 1700 block of Rosecrans Avenue, according to the Brea Police Department.

The boy was not a Parks Jr. High student.

Sims, 35, of Brea was investigated after detectives received a report that she was having sex with the boy, police said.

Detectives are still trying to determine if there are any other victims.

According to the school's website, Sims was a special day class teacher.
