BRIEF: Sore toe sidelines Kirk Hinrich vs. Hornets

Nov. 03--Kirk Hinrich will sit a second straight game with a toe issue when the Bulls face the Hornets Tuesday night.

For the Hornets, Troy Daniels is listed as probable with a hamstring ailment, while Cody Zeller, who has been battling dehydration, is questionable and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is out. Kidd-Gilchrist underwent shoulder surgery.

The Bulls are 3-1 but continue talking about how they can play better, particularly offensively. They have cracked 100 points just once and that includes not doing so in an overtime game.

"When we do have good pace, good things tend to happen," coach Fred Hoiberg said. "When we walk it up the floor like we did in the fourth quarter the other day, we didn't have the initial thrust to put pressure on the defense. And then you're taking a shot in a low clock situation.

"I don't think it's not being in shape. You look at our minute distribution the other night and I don't think anybody played over 32 minutes. You should be able to keep that pace going. We've watched a lot of clips on it and we're just trying to improve."
