Aug. 22--At least one person was killed and six others were injured Friday in Boyle Heights after five vehicles were involved in a crash on the 60 Freeway, closing all westbound lanes, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
LAFD spokesman Shawn Lenske said the crash occurred about 5 p.m. near the Lorena Street exit.
At least five vehicles were involved and one person was killed. Six others were injured.
CHP Officer Alex Rubio said one of the vehicles was a semi-truck.
He said the person killed was a female in her 30s. Her name, as well as ages, genders and conditions of the other victims were not immediately available.
Two lanes of the freeway have been reopened. The others remain closed.
