Some 'League of Their Own' cast members reuniting Saturday in Naperville

May 01--Rockford Peaches, for the win. Eight "A League of Their Own" cast members will reunite Saturday in Naperville for a showing of the 1992 movie about an all-women's baseball league during World War II.

The women will sign memorabilia at Hollywood Palms theater, 352 South Route 59, before the sold-out 8 p.m. show. Fans who did not get tickets to the show can buy a $10 theater gift card to get cast autographs.

Director Penny Marshall was supposed to attend the event but she hurt her ankle, said Holly Hu, theater marketing director.

"It appears she can't walk," said Hu, who said the theater is hoping Marshall will tape an audio clip to be played at the event.

Tom Hanks, who played Coach Jimmy Dugan, Madonna (center fielder "All the Way" Mae Mordabito), Rosie O'Donnell (third baseman Doris Murphy) and Geena Davis (catcher Dottie Hinson) also will not be in attendance, according to the Palms website.

The cast members expected to attend are: Lori Petty (Kit Keller), Megan Cavanagh (Marla Hooch), Tracy Reiner (Betty "Spaghetti" Horn), Ann Cusack (Shirley Baker), Anne Ramsay (Helen Haley), Kelli Simpkins (Beverly Dixon), Patti Pelton (Marbleann Wilkenson) and Ellie Weingardt (the charm school instructor).

No word if the women will sing their signature victory song.
