BRIEF: 'SNL' star describes living over a 'bro-y' Chicago bar

Feb. 25--"Saturday Night Live" star Aidy Bryant can trace her people-watching hobby to the time she spent living over a "very bro-y" bar in Chicago.

"It was a (University of) Alabama bar. People that were Alabama football fans would go there," Bryant told GQ magazine in an article posted online Wednesday. "I was on the second floor, and my balcony was over the back parking lot. At 2 a.m. people would go there to pee, puke, or have a full breakup. I would watch all of it."

Bryant, 28, did not name the bar. She attended Columbia College and trained at Second City and the iO Theater before joining "SNL" in 2012.

Her short-film "Darby Forever," which is inspired by her visits to a Chicago fabric store, was released last week on Vimeo.
