BRIEF: Snap Kitchen opening in Old Town

July 28--Snap Kitchen, a fast-casual restaurant known for offering healthy dishes made from local, organic ingredients, is opening another location in Old Town this weekend.

The restaurant, which originated in Austin, Texas, already has locations in Lakeview, Lincoln Park and the Loop, as well as one in Naperville.

Get a sneak peek into the new Old Town restaurant, at 1226 N. Wells St., on July 30 at 11 a.m. Fans of its vast menu -- which includes cold-pressed juices, enchiladas, chicken butternut squash macaroni and more, with nothing over 500 calories and options for vegans, vegetarians, dairy-avoiders and those on the Paleo diet -- can buy entrees, snacks and pantry items at a discount that day ($5, $2 and $1, respectively).

The restaurant officially opens Aug. 1.
