March 11--A house fire in the Fuller Park neighborhood with heavy smoke resulted in minor slowdowns on the Dan Ryan Expressway on Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
The fire was reported at 4:20 p.m. on the 5000 block of South Princeton Avenue, said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford.
The fire from the two-story residential building caused plumes of heavy smoke to jut out over the Dan Ryan Expressway, leading to minor tie-ups during rush hour traffic, Langford said.
No injuries were reported, though some people were displaced, Langford said.
