March 28--A small fire at a Gold Coast high-rise building was quickly put out Friday evening, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

Firefighers were called to the building in the 1100 block of North Dearborn Street about 5:50 p.m.

The fire in an 11th floor apartment's kitchen was out by a little after 6 p.m.

No injuries were reported, said Fire Department spokesman Chief Jeff Lyle.

Fire officials called an Emergency Medical Services Plan 1 for the fire, sending six ambulances to the scene.
