BRIEF: Sky's Elena Delle Donne practices, expected to play Wednesday

May 16--Elena Delle Donne practiced Monday afternoon and is listed as probable to play against the Minnesota Lynx on Wednesday.

Last season's MVP missed Saturday's season-opening victory against the Connecticut Sun with an illness.

After the game, Chicago Sky coach Pokey Chatman said that Delle Donne had been sick that morning from what the team believes was a stomach virus.

"They thought maybe it would pass. Just a little bit of nausea ... but she thought it would just pass," Chatman said. "The doctor put her through some physical stuff a little bit before 6 (p.m.)."

Chatman said the illness wasn't related to Delle Donne's Lyme disease.

If Delle Donne plays, Wednesday's game against the Lynx represents the season's first meeting between the league's previous two most valuable players: Delle Donne and Minnesota's Maya Moore.

The Sky are ranked third in Associated Press' preseason power rankings; the Lynx were No. 1.
