BRIEF: Skateboarding teen injured in hit-run crash in north suburban Beach Park

Nov. 10--The Chicago Tribune Media Group's Lake County News-Sun reports: A 16-year-old boy was hospitalized after a hit-and-run Saturday night in Beach Park.

The teen was skateboarding in the painted center median of Sheridan Road near Chaney Avenue about 7:20 p.m. when he crossed into a traffic lane and was struck by a vehicle that did not stop, Lake County Sheriff's Sgt. Curtis Gregory told the News-Sun on Sunday.
