BRIEF: Sideshow Theatre Company announces 2016-17 season

May 17--Sideshow Theatre Company has announced its 10th season, featuring three area premieres.

The season begins with Philip Dawkins' solo show "The Happiest Place on Earth" (Sept. 17-Oct. 23), previously announced as part of Greenhouse Theater Center's "Solo Celebration!" Artistic director Jonathan L. Green will direct.

"Give it All Back" (Nov. 20-Dec. 18), a new play from Calamity West, follows. Marti Lyons will direct Andrew Goetten and Matt Fletcher in the comedy about a '60s artist hiding out in a French hotel room, trying to hold on to la vie boheme.

Concluding the season is Debbie Tucker Green's "truth and reconciliation," also directed by Green. A 22-member cast will examine the aftermath of world conflicts spanning 30 years in this U.S. premiere.

"The Happiest Place on Earth" will play at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave., with all other performances taking place at Victory Gardens Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Ave.
