BRIEF: Sideshow names new executive director

April 22--Sideshow Theatre Company announced Friday that Stephanie Weddell has been named its new executive director, effective at the end of April.

Weddell, who last served as the director of the drama and dance school at Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, will be the company's first full-time salaried employee.

Weddell replaces Megan A. Smith, who was Sideshow's executive director since its inaugural season in 2007.

Sideshow is currently a multi-year resident company at Victory Garden's Biograph Theater, located at 2433 N. Lincoln Ave.
