Feb. 24--Two men were wounded in shootings on the Southwest and North sides Monday afternoon.
Most recently, someone shot a 26-year-old man in the right leg about 4:30 p.m. in the 4700 block of North Beacon Street in the city's Sheridan Park neighborhood, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Bari Lemmon.
Chicago Fire Department spokesman Will Knight said the person shot was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital and Lemmon said he was listed in good condition.
Earlier, a 28-year-old man was shot at a Brighton Park neighborhood McDonald's on Monday afternoon during a gang-related attack, Chicago police said.
It happened about 2:50 p.m. at 3867 S. Archer Ave. on the Southwest Side, police said.
Paramedics took one person in fair-to-serious condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, said Knight.
The person shot, a 28-year-old man, was approached by two assailants, Lemmon said. One produced a handgun and fired at the 28-year-old, hitting him twice in the hip, Lemmon said.
