Dec. 24--The California Highway Patrol shut down the eastbound and westbound offramps to Forest Lawn Drive off State Route 134 on Tuesday afternoon as Los Angeles police investigated a shooting.
LAPD Officer Drake Madison said the department got a call just before 3:20 p.m. that someone may have shot himself inside a vehicle on the highway offramp.
"At this time, it is being treated as a suicide," Madison said.
No further information about the possible victim was immediately available.
The Forest Lawn Drive exit is located on the northern end of Griffith Park, south of Burbank.
CHP Officer Christian Cracraft estimated the offramps would be closed for at least a couple of hours.
