BRIEF: Sheriff's eviction unit finds man's body in Skokie home

March 31--A man's body was found in a Skokie home Tuesday morning by sheriff's officials who were serving an eviction warrant, officials said.

The body was discovered by members of the Cook County Sheriff's Office eviction unit at about 8 a.m. as they were in the process of serving a court-ordered eviction notice, according to Cook County sheriff spokeswoman Sophia Ansari.

The man, believed to be in his 40s, was found in the home in the 4900 block of Crain Street in the north suburb, according to Skokie spokeswoman Ann Tennes.

The man was deceased when the unit arrived and there were no signs of foul play, Tennes said.

The man's identity is pending notification of his family, she said. The Cook County medical examiner's office is expected to conduct an autopsy, she said.

Skokie police are conducting a death investigation, Tennes said.
