BRIEF: Sheriff asks for help locating missing DesPlaines man, 79

Dec. 29--Cook County sheriff's officials are asking for the public's help in helping locate a missing DesPlaines man.

Officials said they received a report on Monday that William R. Anderson, 79, was last seen on Dec. 17 in his home in unincorporated DesPlaines, according to a press release issued Monday.

Officials said the man may attempt to harm himself.

He is described as white with a fair complexion, 6-foot-1 inches tall, and weighing about 250 pounds. He has gray hair and hazel eyes.

He may be driving a blue 2006 Ford Focus with Illinois license plate number: BT 3644.
