Dec. 28--USC cornerback Kevon Seymour and receiver Isaac Whitney probably will sit out the Holiday Bowl against Wisconsin, but safety Leon McQuay III could return in a limited role, Coach Clay Helton said Monday.
Seymour, a senior who plays behind starters Adoree' Jackson and Iman Marshall, suffered a high ankle sprain last week. He said Sunday that he would probably be a game-time decision.
But after a workout at Southwestern College, Helton said "it does not look good" for Seymour to play.
Whitney is attempting to come back from a broken collarbone that sidelined him for the last eight games.
The junior appeared on track to play after practices last week, but Helton said Whitney "got a ding" on Sunday and was still feeling pain.
"I really don't anticipate him playing," Helton said.
McQuay has been sidelined the last five games because of a knee injury. The junior made several significant stops in last season's 45-42 Holiday Bowl victory over Nebraska.
