July 22--Seven people were injured, six of them seriously, in a traffic crash in the Austin neighborhood on the city's West Side that left an SUV on its side.
The crash happened about 12:35 p.m. near Washington Boulevard and Leamington Avenue.
Six of the injured were taken to local hospitals -- Loyola University Medical Center, Mount Sinai Hospital and Stroger Hospital -- in serious-to-critical condition.
One of the injured was taken to a hospital in fair-to-serious condition, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
It's not clear how the SUV flipped over. Police didn't have information about the nature of the crash.
