March 28--"Late Night" host Seth Meyers and his wife Alexi Ashe Meyers welcomed their first child, Meyers confirmed Monday on Twitter.
"Thank you, everyone for the kind words! Mom and baby are doing great!!!," Meyers tweeted.
Meyers, who was born in Evanston and attended Northwestern University, did not reveal details about the baby or the birth, but People magazine reported that the couple welcomed a son on Sunday.
Meyers, 42, and Ashe Meyers wed in 2013 on Martha's Vineyard. Meyers is slated to give the Northwestern commencement address in June and receive an honorary degree.
"Late Night" airs weeknights on NBC at 11:35 p.m.
