April 14--Cosmetics giant Sephora will open its third Michigan Avenue store this summer.
The new store, at 605 N. Michigan Ave., sits between two existing locations on the same half-mile stretch of the Magnificent Mile: one at The Shops at North Bridge, at 520 N. Michigan, and another at Water Tower Place, at 835 N. Michigan.
Both in-mall outlets will remain open after the new store's grand opening, scheduled for late August, the company said Thursday.
About 11,000 square feet of space in the 605 N. Michigan building have yet to be filled, including another first-floor storefront and the second floor, according to a property listing with Mid-America Real Estate Group.
Sephora, owned by luxury goods group LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, has more than 360 stores in North America and about 1,900 worldwide.
