Jan. 09--One person died when three semitrailers collided on Interstate 80/94 in northwest Indiana early Friday, police said.
The crash happened around 4:40 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-80/94 east of Interstate 65 near the 12-mile marker, said Indiana State Police Cpl. Daniel Becker.
One of the truck drivers was killed, and no other injuries were reported so far. The driver's age and gender were not immediately available, Becker said.
As of 6 a.m. the right eastbound lane and shoulder were blocked because of the accident, Becker said.
Officials were on scene investigating the crash.
