July 29--Kelly Leonard, it was announced last week, is stepping down from his post as president of Second City Theatricals, his longtime role at the famed Chicago comedy theater.
Leonard began working at Second City in 1988 and has overseen such performers as Stephen Colbert, Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Adam McKay, Seth Meyers, Rachel Dratch, Amy Poehler, Jason Sudeikis, Keegan Michael Key, Rachel Dratch and Amy Sedaris. Other credits include the recent collaboration shows, including "The Second City Guide to the Opera" with the Lyric Opera of Chicago and "Art of Falling" with Hubbard Street Dance.
