April 06--The Second City announced the lineup of its performance collaboration with NBCUniversal on Monday: the NBCUniversal Second City Break Out Comedy Festival.
The two-day festival was created to showcase some of the country's finest comedy talent in the areas of sketch, improv and stand-up. The two organizations hope to make this an annual event.
The inaugural lineup includes Joel Boyd, Nigel Downer, Calvin Evans, Martin Morrow, Chucho Perez, Danielle Pinnock, Chris Redd, Jasbir Singh Velasquez, Kevin Vidal and the duo Dominizuelan, made up of Lorena Diaz and Wendy Mateo.
The festival will take place June 5-6 at UP Comedy Club at Piper's Alley, 230 W. North Ave. Tickets are now on sale at upcomedyclub.com or 312-662-4562.
