June 18--Blackhawks players who were scratches for Game 6 Monday got all dressed up with one place to go -- the ice to celebrate the team's third Stanley Cup Final victory in six seasons.
Scratches don't dress for games and usually watch from somewhere inside the arena. Bryan Bickell was one of those players Monday.
Bickell said he and the guys put on their uniforms around the five-minute mark of the third period.
"When (Kane) scored we kind of amped it up and got ready," Bickell said. "It was a long five minutes. We saw (Andrew Desjardins) get a penalty with four minutes left and we're like, 'What's happening?' It was an epic run, an unbelievable feeling."
