BRIEF: Blackhawks dismantle Islanders 4-1

Oct. 11--Coach Joel Quenneville mixed and matched three of his lines Saturday night against the Islanders, but he did not dare touch his second line of Artemi Panarin, Artem Anisimov and Patrick Kane.

The trio were on the ice for three goals in the Hawks' 4-1 victory over the Islanders at the United Center.

Panarin scored his second-career goal and assisted on two others while Kane tallied his third goal of the season to go with two assists.

Trevor van Riemsdyk score his first-career goal to get the scoring going in the first period.

Van Riemsdyk cleaned up a rebound in front of the net at 4 minutes, 7 seconds of the first period.

Panarin struck in the second period off a feed from Kane at 5:53. Panarin beat Islanders goaltender Jean-Francois Berube from the slot.

Then Kane scored his third goal of the season later in the period after putting the puck on net while center Artem Anisimov screened Berube.

Brent Seabrook added the fourth goal on a power play late in the third period.

Scott Darling, making his first start of the season, made 28 saves.

Winger Viktor Tikhonov and defenseman Viktor Svedberg remained in the lineup for a second consecutive night.
