BRIEF: Scott Adsit is back in Chicago with new 'Stolen House' improv show

July 28--Scott Adsit, the Second City veteran also known for his work on "30 Rock," is returning to Chicago Aug. 7 with a new improv concept, "Stolen House."

According to Adsit, the concept behind this "fully improvised stage play / theatrical experience / crapshoot" is that Adsit and his company (other performers include TJ Jagodowski, Dave Pasquesi, Stephnie Weir, Bob Dassie and John Lutz) will "take over" an existing set on a currently running show, either on an off night or once that show is over for the evening. The group then will improvise a completely different show, inspired by its purloined surroundings.

In other words, the set will function in the same way as an audience suggestion in a typical long-form improv show.

The first production of "Stolen House" will be 10:30 p.m. Aug. 7, the last on Aug. 10. "Stolen House" is produced and directed by Stephen Ruddy. Adsit says that the show will head to New York after its Chicago premiere.
