BRIEF: Saturday's top Southland high school football games

Dec. 12--The top regional bowl games in the Southland on Saturday:

Small School Open Division: Sierra Canyon (14-0) at San Marino (14-0), 7:30 p.m. The combination of quarterback Carson Glazier (3,962 yards passing, 45 touchdowns) and J.P. Shohfi (103 catches, 2,035 yards, 28 touchdowns) has been unstoppable for San Marino. Sierra Canyon's speed and athleticism will test the Titans. Quarterback Niko Harris can run and pass for Sierra Canyon. The pick: Sierra Canyon.

Division I-A: Narbonne (12-2) at Bakersfield Ridgeview (13-0), 7:30 p.m. City Section Division I champion Narbonne usually plays well against top teams, and this will be a big road test. The Gauchos will need to tackle Darius Smith, who has rushed for more than 1,500 yards. Narbonne's balance on offense could be decisive. The pick: Narbonne.
