BRIEF: Saturday's recap: White Sox 7, Royals 6

March 06--The White Sox won their first game in the Cactus League on Saturday, knocking out 15 hits to keep the World Series champion Royals winless at 0-4. Tyler Saladino's two-run homer in the sixth gave them the lead for good.

At the plate

Adam Eaton homered and was one triple shy of the cycle before being lifted for a pinch-hitter. Avisail Garcia had two hits and a pair of RBIs.

On the mound

Starter Carson Fulmer allowed three earned runs on five hits over two-plus innings.

In the field

The Royals scored a run in the third on a popup to second baseman Carlos Sanchez that was ruled a sacrifice fly. Left fielder Courtney Hawkins threw out a runner at the plate on an inning-ending double play.

The quote
